Australia Day will be held on the 26th January 2012 at the Northampton Lions Park. It is a celebration of Australia and everyone living or visiting Northampton is welcome to attend. THisis a free event, with BBQ breakfast, activities and entertainment for the children, musical performances, bush poetry, and recognition of local identities and over 90s within our community. Come down to the Lions Park for breakfast from 8am, to join in the fun of the day.

Lions Park is located opposite the Northampton Caravan Park, on Stephen Street, behind the Visitor Centre.

Airing of the Quilts - 13th October 2012

There are a number of events on the Northampton Annual Calendar, not least of all is the annual Airing of the Quilts. Held on the second Saturday of the W.A. third term school holidays. This event showcases an exquisite array of colourful patchwork quilts hung from buildings down the main street of Northampton. This festival also showcases many different crafts and is a must for anyone who loves crafts and the memories of yesteryear. If you enjoy a street parade don’t miss the vintage cars and heritage costumed people as they travel through the streets of Northampton.Read more about the Airing of the Quilts....


Northampton Show - Saturday 15th September 2012

The Annual Northampton Show held in September, is a showcase of agricultural displays, craft and produce exhibitions, markets, show jumping, sideshows, fireworks and a variety of other entertainment. Australia Day

Northampton Lions Park comes alive on the morning of the 26th of January every year in celebration of Australia Day. Come and join the locals for a free barbeque breakfast. Activities for the kids, music and entertainment from 7:30am.


Purple Bra Day- 9th June  2012 

 The main street of Northampton becomes a vibrant splash of purple, as thousands of purple coloured bras are hung along the businesses and heritage buildings. This important fundraiser is held annually in June and proceeds of the event go to the Northampton Hospital and the Breast Cancer Foundation WA. Event times for 2011 are from 9am to 2pm. Oakabella Market Day- Sunday May 27 2012 

All day 9am - 3pm, Entry $2 adults, children free. Indigenous bush tucker, stalls etc. Held at the beautiful and historic Oakabella Homestead, don't miss this great event. Oakabella is located just South of Elelphant Hill, 20kms south of Northampton or 30kms North of Geraldton at Lot 4 Starling Road, off the North West Coastal Highway. 


Northampton Dirt Drags- November 2012 (date to be confirmed)

For the motoring enthusiast, Bowes River comes to life as dirt bikes take to the specially made drag tracks. This day and night event also includes a Battle of the Bands and Miss Dirt Drags Competition, and is held annually in November.
