There are a number of fantastic shopping opportunities in the heart of the historic town of Northampton. Browse through the heritage buildings in the main street, some of which were built over 100 years ago. Here are just a few of the wonderful retailers on Hampton Road for you to spend the day browsing...




Northampton Family Store

The Northampton Family Store is a family owned store selling a range of goods including clothing, Manchester, footwear, giftware haberdashery and craft supplies. The building opened in 1911 and was originally 3 stores- a general store, a Barber/Tobacconist/Billiard area and a saddler serviced the horse and drays from where the shoe department is now.Geoff, Joy and Penny Cripps took over ownership of the store in 2003. The Family Store prides itself on quality, old-fashioned service.



Northampton Newsagency

The Northampton Newsagency is your one-stop shop for all your stationery needs and is open 7 days a week. The store provides a wide selection of newspapers, magazines, books, gift cards, school and business stationery and is an outlet for Lotto. Amanda and Frank, owners of the Northampton Newsagency, have done extensive renovations to the business since they bought it in 2008 and now provide internet access, an ATM and an excellent selection of children’s toys.



Northampton IGA

The Northampton IGA Plus Liquor has recently moved and offers a wide range of grocery and household items. The local supermarket has been in the Hasleby Family for 12 years. The Northampton IGA is open 7 days a week and has wonderful fresh baked buns and pastries, as well as cooked chickens, fresh fruit and veg and has a Cellarbrations liquor department. The IGA also has a display of heritage photos of the Northampton area, with compliments from the Chiverton House Museum.




Northampton Pharmacy

The Northampton Pharmacy offers all pharmaceutical products and has an extensive range of health and beauty products as well as giftware, jewellery, photo frames and digital photo printing.  It is now the local stockist of Making Lift Easy (MLE) products including wheelchairs, gophers and other home care products. The Northampton Pharmacy offers many professional services including blood pressure checks, home medication reviews, and webster packing. It is a member of the NDSS program for diabetic patients.  The pharmacy is an active participant in the Quality Care Pharmacy Program which allows Joanne and her team, to continually deliver high standards of service and care for their customers.



BP Northampton

BP Northampton is open 7 days a week and has everything a local service station could possibly offer. Jodie and Hayden and their friendly team offer excellent service while you stop and shop for fuel, spare tyres, automotive emergency items, food, drinks, ice, bait, ice creams and anything else you might need on your road trip. They have also recently developed a delicious range of take home meals and healthy lunch options.



Hasleby's Hardware

Hasleby’s Hardware is a family owned agricultural and hardware retailer and has been in Northampton for 22 years. Recently, Hasleby's Hardware moved into the new premises which has seen significant changes to the range of products they carry. The new larger floor space allows the business to cater for every hardware and agricultural need and has a range of outdoor furniture and garden supplies. Hasleby’s Hardware has always been proud to supply customers with friendly service and advice, and if they don’t have the product you need, they are always happy to order it in for you.



Country Haven

Country Haven was established in 1998 in and sell a huge range of giftware, catering for all ages. Rustic tin signs, antique pieces, ornaments, children’s toys, photo frames, jewellery and so much more. Come in and have a browse, but be warned it may take all day as they have so much to offer!
